Have you ever felt inadequate, insufficient or incapable of accomplishing your dreams?

God says you can

FACING THE TRUTH

This is a constant battle for me.  At times I feel like no ones believes in me, recognizes my potential, or sees the vision God has given me.  This has led me to question my calling and even doubt my purpose in life.

Confession:  I recently earned my GED, and am learning to type.  I battled with the feeling of inadequacy before I started this blog website.

“The feelings of Inadequacy will try to limit you, affect your self-confidence and even what you believe about yourself.” —Dan Chavez

THE PROBLEM

As people we desire the approval of others, at times it helps us deal with the feelings of inadequacy and can empower us to reach for more in life.  We need people in our lives, unfortunately we aren’t accustomed to giving approval let alone receiving it.  Considering the number of people that we interact with everyday, chances are, only a few people in our lives give us their approval and support.

YOU ARE APPROVED

We have the approval of The Most High God, yet we go through life longing for mans approval.  Galatians 1:10 says, “Does this sound as if I am trying to win human approval? No indeed! What I want is God’s approval! Am I trying to be popular with people? If I were still trying to do so, I would not be a servant of Christ.”  We shouldn’t have to rely on the approval of others to fulfill our God-given calling and purpose in life.

GO DO WHAT GOD IS CALLING YOU TO DO!

Are you still waiting for someone to confirm what God’s put in your heart?  Stop investing time doing what others think is best for you!  Focus on your strengths and become great at them!  Pursue your dreams, the vision God has given you!  Believe that God has approved and gifted you with the unique skills and abilities you need to fulfill everything He called you to do.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

“God’s greater plan for your life will be possible when your faith becomes radical and you dare to believe in yourself.” —Dan Chavez

It’s one thing to believe that God has a plan for us, but if we don’t believe in ourselves we may never see what God can do through us.  The truth is, the things we keep thinking and believing about ourselves will be what we become.

“Your future depends on and will be the revelation of what you believe about yourself.” —Dan Chavez

My prayer is that we remember we have God’s approval and that our inadequacy is His adequacy and that we dare to believe what He has promised us.

From The Heart, Dan Chavez
