At some point many of us have dreamed of making a difference in our jobs, churches, communities or even the world.

Dreams can inspire us to reach for the stars, or they can seem too far-fetched to ever obtain.  The majority of us dreamers don’t handle failure too well.  It seems like we get off to a great start in pursuit of our dreams, only to find ourselves discouraged, unmotivated, or on the verge of throwing in the towel the moment we hit a road block in our journey toward our calling; our God-given dreams.

 

YOU ARE CALLED

We all have a calling in life, a purpose on earth with only a limited time to fulfill our life’s destiny.  Unfortunately, because of failure’s in life, countless people live without a sense of purpose.  I have experienced this reality.  I have failed at relationships, parenting, jobs, ministries, business ventures and even sobriety.  There have been times in my life were hope was absent and I could no longer see the light at the end of the tunnel.

If failure were not a risk..

What would CAN you do to make a difference in the world?

What will people remember you for?  Will you leave a legacy?

Are you still fighting for your calling; your God-given dreams?

 

GO WITH THE STRENGTH YOU HAVE

“God will allow you to go through the valley to prepare you for the next mountain top.” —Dan Chavez

Our calling in life is a journey not a destination; a process where God takes us from strength to strength.  I love the story of a man named Gideon, who at a point in his life felt hopeless and incapable of accomplishing the task at hand.  Judges 6:14 reads, Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!”  God has given you all you need to accomplish your calling.  Quit procrastinating and making excuses, put your faith in action and believe God will intervene!  Our inadequacy is God’s adequacy.

 

PREPARE FOR TOMORROW

God always sees our true potential and His plans for us are bigger than our own.  Ephesians 2:10 reads, “For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.”  We have to be intentionally growing and positioning ourselves for what God prepared ahead of time.  Look at the current place God has you in as training and preparation for your future.

 

YOU’RE AN OVERCOMER

We’ve all experienced failure, but with God’s help nothing is impossible!  With God’s help I overcame a 14 year addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Celebrate past victories!  Never forget what God has promised you and how far you’ve come!  Evaluate failures, find solutions and try again!

LEARN LIFE LESSONS!

I pray you would search deep within your heart to find the passion you once had to make a difference, because you my friend are an overcomer.
