One thing that saddens me about the current state of the Church, is that we often take for granted the full access we have to the Holy Spirit. The Christian experience was intended to surpass the prayer of Salvation we made when we excepted Jesus into our lives. Rather we are to experience the empowerment of the Holy Spirit daily; only this enables us to be His disciples and to make disciples.

We desperately need the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to share the gospel as Jesus commissioned us to in Acts 1:8.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

The power described in this passage is the true fulfillment of Jesus’ promise, that those who believe in Him would do the same works that He did and even greater. For the Christ follower to ever see this promise come to fruition; pressing in to the presence of the Holy Spirit daily is vital.

My words of encouragement to you today are:

“Press into the Presence of the Holy Spirit daily because it’s only through His Power that we can become effective witnesses of His saving grace to a dying world.”
