“With God, all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26
This powerful verse reminds us of the limitless nature of God’s ability to work in our lives. The Scriptures are true—nothing is beyond His reach. Yet, if we’re honest, many of us struggle to hold on to this truth. We believe God for the impossible, only to later find ourselves losing hope or giving up when things don’t happen as quickly as we want.
“Anything is possible if a person believes.” – Mark 9:23
But what if the impossible became possible before we were ready? What if God granted our prayers without first preparing us to receive what we’re asking for? The truth is, without the preparation, what’s now possible would quickly become impossible again, as we wouldn’t have the strength or wisdom to sustain it. This is why the process matters just as much as the promise.
The Importance of Preparation
Imagine receiving a gift that’s so big and life-changing, yet you lack the maturity or character to handle it. It wouldn’t be a blessing—it might even be a burden. The delay in seeing the impossible become possible isn’t because God doesn’t want to bless us, but because He wants to shape us into the kind of people who can walk confidently and faithfully in the blessings He provides.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10
The Bible teaches us that God is always working on us, crafting our lives and refining our character. The waiting period is not wasted time. It’s a time of growth, renewal, and deepening our faith. As we wait, we need to remember that God is preparing us for what’s ahead, and often the preparation is just as important as the fulfillment of the promise.
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
Waiting with Endurance
The problem isn’t that we don’t believe God can do the impossible—we know He can. The challenge comes in patiently enduring the process. We often want the miracle without the journey, but God knows that the journey is necessary for us to fully appreciate and steward the miracle.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” – James 1:2-4
The waiting shapes us into people who are not only ready for the impossible but who can sustain it with grace, wisdom, and maturity. Through trials and delays, God is at work, refining our faith, sharpening our endurance, and molding our character. It is in the waiting that we are transformed.
Trusting God’s Timing
Often, we get discouraged when God’s promises don’t come to pass immediately. We live in a culture of instant gratification, but God operates on a different timetable. He is never late, and He is never early—He is always on time.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9
God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for our lives are far greater than anything we could imagine. When we rush the process, we rob ourselves of the depth of character and the closeness to God that comes through patient endurance. We have to learn to trust Him, even when we don’t see progress right away.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” – Psalm 27:14
Wait on God
If you’re waiting on God for something that seems impossible, don’t lose heart. Trust in His perfect timing and allow Him to shape you during the process. The impossible is often on the other side of patient endurance. Keep believing, keep trusting, and keep waiting on God. He is faithful, and with Him, all things are possible.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
Remember, the waiting season is not a wasted season. It’s preparing you for the impossible to become a reality. Wait on the Lord, trust in His plan, and rest in the truth that with God, “all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
