James 4:8 states “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…”  The more we draw near to God the more He unveils in us our flaws and need to change.  For many of us the easy part is “drawing near to God”, it’s where “He will draw near to you” that it becomes a bit more complicated for us.  Often that’s where we take a step back causing an endless cycle of playing two-step with God.  Until we finally learn to abide in Him then we will begin to take steps forward and see Spiritual growth in our lives.

Jesus as I draw near to You Today, give me the strength to abide in You.  Help me to change the things in my life that are nothing like You.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.“
